I ordered a size up (I'm a size 14 comfortably, I ordered a 16), in case there needed to be some alterations done. Which it did, but only because I have large arms. I'm 5'3, 195lbs, this dress was extremely long on me, even with heels on. It has padding in dress(made to be worn bra-less, back is lace/see through). I'm a 38C, my boobs did not fill the dress. The fit of this dress is true to size. I suggest sizing up only if you have large breast or arms. This dress is heavy, DOES NOT feel/look cheap. It took exactly a month to receive this dress. I didn't get it altered, I pinned the front of the dress up so I wouldn't trip, made it look like I had a train.
